1st Annual Downhill Race on Sunday 7th of April 2013 at Platres, Cyprus

 

The Venue:

Platres Sports Center is situated on the southern edge of Platres.  Platres Sports Center signs are well signposted from every direction, just follow signs towards Platres and then to Platres Sports Center. The venue is accessed off the B8 main road, Platres junction turn.

Many designated locations along the route are available for spectators.

Spectating will be free.

 

The nearest Airports are the ‘Larnaca International Airport’ and ‘Pafos International Airport’.

 

Nearest Hospital is the ‘Limassol Hospital’ but the ‘Platres Rural Health Center‘ (Tel: 25421324) can be used for First Aid and any emergency.

 

Nearest Police station is the ‘Platres Police Station‘ situated at the center of the village. Tel: 25813018.  Emergency Telephone: 112

09:00 Venue open for team pits, parking etc.

09:00 Warm Up Runs

12:30 Timed Runs (Race)

16:00+ Awards

 

Race Categories and Running Order: (to be confirmed)

Juniors (15-18 years old)

Elite (19-30 years old)

Masters 1 (31-40 years old)

Masters 2 (41+ years old)

 

Race Regulations: (to be confirmed)

The ‘Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement‘ must be signed by all participants.

Parent/Guardian of all participants below 18 years old must sign the ‘Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement’.

 

Juniors must wear the following minimum body armour:

Full Spine

Elbow pads

Knee pads

Full Face Helmet

For riders that do not wear them (Disqualified)

 

Elite and Masters must wear the following minimum body armour:

Knee pads

Full Face Helmet

For riders that do not wear them (Disqualified)

 

General:

Race Registration: EUR20

Under suspicion of theft, the police will be called.

Anti-social behavour, vandalism, acts of violence and intimidation will result to life time ban (Disqualified).

 

Toilets, Showers etc. (on location) services will be available during the event at the Platres Sports Center.

 

Accommodation, Restaurants etc. : If needed a large variety according to your needs can be found within Platres.
